Visitor #1!!

Yes! Already I'm going to have a visitor....maybe even two!

First off, the Gun Shows favorite German who's favorite American is David Hasslehoff, VOLKER! is coming to town. Actually, it is currently only tentative. And actually, his favorite American is Tammy Fay.

Second off, Jeffron the immortal is coming to the SF bay! Score, I'll prolly end up loaning him a loaner bike. In return for his soul.

Caitlin the immoral.

PS. I can't stop listening to Pilot's - It's Magic.

I stahhhted work

AND I already made a few ruling moves and one antiruling one.

Ruling - I submitted some sweet idea that my boss' boss totally loved.

Antiruling - Well, I only merely scanned the corporate policies and when asked if I had read them I said I only merely scanned them. I got the flipping drift from the titles, I won't make any 'hey you got pea all over desk' jokes when the old Del Monte cans are out and about.

Furthermore, I went to the fancy food show yesterday which was delicious. I saw a Clif bar guy walking around looking all cycley and I smiled like he knew I was one too. Unfortunately he gave me the old 'why the crap are you looking at me you sexy sexy freak' and turned away.

Here I am with Bob T's glasses and a menu in SF.

Here is Bob T ruling.

Sickness

I've got it - Homeobacillus Mattapoisett

Right, so I'm thinking, how the crap can I be homesick? I just got here? I was just home! Well, I was home for less than 1 month and I've been away for about 6 years. That nice month made me realize how stellar the New England is. Everywhere else is fine but I like that edge that the northerners have. Winter weather gives you a toughness that you'll never understand if you aren't in it for more than a few years. I remember back in the hay day of UMass riding our commuter bikes at night with huge winter jackets up ridiculous western mass hills. The only real commuter I knew in Raleigh was Mr. Kickass, who is from MA! When I was in New Bedford I even saw bikes where I don't know if I would ever ride. Through the cobble stones of downtown with spaces as big as cross tires in betwixt them, I stared in awe.

Oh, and not to mention my family and friends! Bob T. rules! It gets me wondering what I'm doing over here in the SF CA. I'm getting old here (25 SWF) and I want to end up in Rough City, MA. Maybe I better finish up my youth. Maybe I shouldn't. I don't know.

Moving again!

Hell yeah. Oh wait. I'm in CA. Hella yeah.

I'm going to live in "Berkeley" with someone named "Owen" and "2" other "girls". "Owen" races bikes. So do "I".

I drove around the area today with a relocation assistant. Things to note: the Mission is sketchy (my current locale) and so is west Oakland. I've experienced sketchiness in both. Oakland when a few cars aimed for us (Kelley and I) and SF everyday of my life.

Crossed!

Well. This cross country trip is dead to me. And by that I mean over. Thank goodness? Nah. It was fun but I'm sick of driving. I made it approximately 4000 miles in the past week. What? There is no way it should cost that many miles. Pythagorus said? I should know by now that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Also, I should know that the hypotenuse is definitely shorter than the remaining two sides put together. With that written, I will go ahead and note that I did just the opposite of what alternative energy should want me to do. A nice right angle off of 95S to 40W and go! (OK, technically I went 64W and eventually 40W but those 90 degrees were still there).

Pictures will be here whenever the capp (that's just a where I live joke) my stuff gets here and I get the cord to transfer them. I would have to say there were some big adventures had.

Here is what I learned.
1) States AK, OK and TX are almost as bad as NJ. Okay, not almost, NJ is far beyond the rest but these states are dead to me.

2) The petrified forest/painted dessert is decidedly less interesting when snowing.

3) The meteor crater closes at 5 pm. Sharp.

4) It snows a wicked lot in AZ and Flagstaff is one of the greatest places on earth even though they don't plow.

5) The Grand Canyon should be the Wicked Grand Canyon. Helicopter rides are a must.

6) The Grand Canyon cavern tour is a must.

7) Hoover Dam - Take the tour!! So neat!!!

8) Las Vegas! Spend only what time I spent there - 1 hour!

9) LA - surprisingly cool. I always thought it was going to be the dumps but Pasadena and Santa Monica are quite nice. Glendora? Not so close to LA William. And I'm from Boston.

10) Elephant seals are flipping adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11) Route 1 along Big Sur is the prettiest drive I have ever done (I was going to make a crack about never having done a drive into a million mirrors but that drive would have to have been the nerdliest)

12) Ahh let's see....Well it's completely confirmed that my dad rules as he tore up the pool court at the most hipster bar I've ever been to and made friends with everyone (almost literally). After playing all night with Dustin (his new friend - who doubled as a young hottie...if you will) he scored his number. I told Dustin I thought he has a good chance with Bob and he said that he better call. We'll see Dustin.

Well, I could prolly type forever about this trip but i don't want to get carpal tunnel syndrome and I'll prolly get pretty thirsty later. So, this post is dead to me. Pictures later.

Crossed Country

Horizontal gene transfer. Specifically my genes and jeans. I learned about this in school.

I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Raleighwoods, NC and visit Ms. Erika and T. Wayners. I'm hoping for an Andy siting and I better see Mister Kick Ass. Next stop after that will be the Grand Canyon on the south side, then maybe that crazy holy grail bit they have going there. Followed by the Hoover dam (No, Irish, this isn't a pile of vacuums -- heeeeeeeeyyyyoooooooooo). Bob T wants to see Las Vegas. I don't. He won. I've seen it once before with my good friend Volker. We almost got married but then once I realized that a Las Vegas marriage is actually recognized outside of Vegas I wanted out. I did get a tan while I was there which I didn't have when I left. Oh, and also a baby. Then we're going to LA to stay with Tom (also note). Afterwards it's up route 1 to SF.

You can track exactly where I am every second of the day here

Caught Dead

Sorry for the s/lack of posting. My rents computer stinks and you may or may not be able to go to anywhere on the internet. Lately, it has been 'may not'. Anyway, there are some extreme sentences that to me have been pretty hilarious lately. In particular, the sentence "I wouldn't be caught dead with/doing/wearing/etc." I've decided to take it a little more literally. For example, when a friend and I were watching the TZ Wife Swap came on. Appropriate...Check. When he asked if I wanted to watch it I said "I wouldn't be caught dead watching this". I did note other things that, Yes! I would be caught dead watching. I would be caught dead watching the Sarah Silverman Show, I would be caught dead watching Good Eats and Yes!! I would be caught dead watching Paul Rudd!!!!!(que Dream Weaver).

Just imagine, I'm laying there...of all things, I'm dead...and the TZ is on Wife Swap. How embarrassing!!??!! I can see it now....
