East Bay Alley Cross!

I got me some Boozley's Pickles, stronger tan lines and a hecka muddy bike. It was wicked fun and if only I was stronger I could have really kick A considering I knew most of the roads pretty well. I'll have to map this mother out and prep for next year.

The best part was I've now figured out how to get to the mystery road I've been eying for months! (literally!) Great new training roads and some really good chili at the end. Woot!

Flipping adorable:

My bicycle trainer, your slow death

I at one time in my life had the focus to ride a trainer during the cold Massachusetts winters. Once for 20 hours in one week. I broke that trainer and then bought a new one. Got on it for 5 minutes (possibly 10), moved to California and would rather be caught on a Next, Denali, Magna or the like than spend another second on that rolling bit of hell.

BiTyes

Yes! My new compys got the bit torrent set up (through synaptic package manager thank you very much mr. kickass). Even better, it's now got the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack! Woot!

More details on life:

Shits goin' down. At werk, my lead lady broked her shoulder. I get to take all of her shiznit plus the other guys stuffs that was working on the project but is transferring out of the groupo. OMG. It's sweet and sucky at the same time. More sweet than sucky. I was pretty bored for the past 2 months but now i'm sort of overloaded. I managed to do tons of stuff yesterday even though i showed up late, took my nice lunch and left at 5. I love being so efficient.

Still haven't moved from Emeryland to Oakland but it's fine for me. I did have a nice ride home the other day with a Rivendell owner and he showed me some pretty nice new roads, except of course for the road we approached at dusk which before we approached he commented "you like downhill, sright?" Yes, on mountain bikes at visible times of the day. I think i only hit a large crack or two but I wasn't prepped for the cyclocross bits of the ride. It was record time for me getting home even though my legs were still sore from the epic mt.diablo ride (had to be at least 6000 ft of climbing).

Anywhozer whatzers. Off to cruise around the SF now.

Oakland -> Diablo -> Oakland -> Grave

I made it. One heck of an epic ride resulting in slight mental insanity and some insanely good tan lines. I rode starting a hair past 11 until a hair before 6 at which point I ate half of a loaf of bread and the remainder of my roommates Americone Dream ice cream. Mt. Diablo might be the hardest sequential climb I have ever done. Race repeaters are equally as hard but you have the flats, downhill etc. to break it up. Mt. D is straight epic with a cruel finish. The last 100 feet gets me out of the saddle and weaving across the road. I was even cheered on. There were a few bikers at the top. Dude bros no less. Then I ripped up the descent passing no less than 3 vehicles.

I took some mad pix and will update with at least 1 if it's worth it.

Fail (click on it!)

I've been failing to keep this mother updated more than a 1 liner. Let me tell you what sup. I went skiing in Tahoe, road the rode a lot, started RUNNING, watched Mavericks at the Giants stadium, and ate a piece of steak.

Tahoe:
Pretty flipping stellar. I was going for the weekend with no real solid plans and I happen to run into my cousin + BF and they invited me to stay at their lake side cabin equipped with hot tub. Yes. I'll join. Also out there I saw 2 Sheila Moonies. My ADSIII that took me there was thoroughly impressed.

Riding:
My ADSIII also fixed my lights! Finally, I can make the trek from Walnuts to Oakland on a regular b and get sick effing fit. I rode home Monday in the rain and Wednesday in the nice weather.

Running:
Thas right! Cycling gets you in pretty good shape for running! I started running this year with a 2 mile run, then I upped to a 4.3 mile run and last guy was 4.5. I'll prolly do a marathon by fri/sat/sun this week.

Mavericks:
The surf competition with the biggest purse named after a water loving German Shepard held down in Half Moon Bay. We watched on the big screen at the Giants stadium for a while and trekked around SF hitting up Chrome where I'm scoring a mega deal on a new more bigger bag. Yessssss.

There are some Tahoe pix but not on my camera so I have to wait. Oh yeah! Kelley fixed my camera! I have to charge that mother up and clean off the lens and there will be some exciting squares to replace the white font/black background.
