Finally!
So there I was sitting at my desk and the phone rang. Russ. I picked up and he started asking me about the equipment I was using in the pilot plant. A sealing machine to be specific. He then prompted "and how does it open" to which I replied "like a DeLorean car door". Finally.

YeSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsSsS
Holy-weekend. I've discovered the most natural/fun/hillarious medicine. Mountain biking.
Thursday (6/18) was Thursday (6/18) and I couldn't sleep. Bummer. Friday (6/19) was my brffffday. Hecka busy/tired from the no sleep/exhausting/painful at points. I had a bunch of fun on the work cruise (I'm sure it was for me though) but as I was wearing some heels, I failed to see a step....painted in bright yellow...and with the word caution several times written around it. If they had made it obvious there wouldn't have been a problem but there was, obviously. I totally twisted my ankle and it hurt...kind of bad. EFFFFF. My first race of the year was 6/20 and I've been looking forward to it forever and now on top of having to borrow a bike for the race I've now potentially got myself into a worse situation. Well eff. Oh, did I fail to mention I felt like I was getting sick? A bit feverish but never confirmed. Just the icing..you know.
Whatevs. I'm going to the race and I'm racing. I drove up, circled the campsites 1, 2, 3 times...dArN...no more sites...what's this? a secret street, turn left now, park, look right, Murphy Mackxcks!!! Immediately everything is awesome. As he comes to kick me out of the group spot he recognizes Caitlin T. Welcome. I adjust this new bike to me (raise seat post 4 inches) and go! My ankle is only hurting when I unclip...answer = don't do it. 4 laps later, 2 times lost, 1 good rasperry (maybs some pix lates) I finished. My ankle doesn't hurt, I don't feel sick anymore (even after not sleeping friday night), no longer on a bike that doesn't fit properly, Murphy is feeding me, and Jen is massaging me. Life is good. The biking somehow fixed everything. Take that Andrew Weil.
I can't wait for the next endurance race. I'll be so hecka healthy after.

NOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Today is my first race of the year and yesterday was my first twisted ankle of the year.
NoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Most unfortunate is the fact that it is an 8 hour race with probably one of those Lamanzy starts.
NoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Such a BUMMER.

So far...
visited 36 states (72%)
Also, I went to a how to raise your own chicken class yesterday. They talked about how their farm varied in numbers often. I called it flocktuation.
I got my car back. Originally sent in to look at the transmission fluid, came back washed, vacuumed, new plugs and full tune up, with an oil change and four new tires. Dang.

Syyk Jokes
My coworker, last name Tran, was driving us home from LA this weekend. Obv. I busted out the "now that's what I call TRANsportation" joke. It was hilarious. All of I laughed.
Other than that I'm going to meet my e-friend Nate, Rachel is visiting Friday and Saturday, I'm racing next weekend, I'm moving up in work from my slump, I might get on one of Todds papers, IFT was syyk fun and that's about it.
I got to see one of my "besties" Maegan who tried to grind on my boss once I pointed him out. I saw my old roomie Julie by surprise and I almost passed out! I saw hecka people from UMass, NC State and internships.

Dognuts
So my car is being funky and Manz offered to take it to the shop and look at it. To get him the car I will drive to work. Time ~#3. As I make it to the Ashby on ramp I here thud thud thud thud thud thud. What the heck?!? A flat!?!? Bummer fest.
A magic tow truck appeared even though I didn't call and wasn't really on the highway yet and he said he would fix my flat. "No" I said, "I don't have insurance, I'll do it or have my friend do it"
"I'll just do it for you"
"But I don't want to pay so I'll just do it"
"I'll do it for you, we're supposed to do it for you free"
"Who are you with? What is this?"
"CA state highway department"
"ok, go right ahead"
So he fixed my flat for free, I tried to tip him, he said he couldn't accept tips, I said ok, he asked me what i was doing saturday or sunday....what the heck?
I got a donut on my car. I'm sticking to bikes.
