Four easy payments
Yup. My first offer. It was rather uncomfortable. I took a cab home and the cab driver didn't hit the fare tracker. I was skeptical. Even more when he asked me for my number. Actually, even more when he asked me to go home with him. In fact, it was when he offered me money that I started wondering if I was going to make it out of the cab. I did. So did he. He asked for a hug. I refused again. I waited outside for him to leave so he wouldn't see my door. I started walking before he left. And I only took the cab for my friends sake. Next time I walk.

Spaghetti sauce
Whilst working on some variables of spaghetti sauce, a can dropped on the ground.
The interaction went a little something like this...
Laurie "Now, if a can drops on the floor you must remove it from your test"
Caitlin "But isn't that how they make the spaghetti al dente?"
Crowd " "

Charlesmas!
Thank god it only comes once a year. In fact, thank god Sea Otter is also once a year. My aged body cannot take such abuse....I didn't even race!
Not totally true. I raced with the road bikes on my mountain bike at the Monteray ally cat race.

Charlie did the real race.

Then he stayed in Bizerkeley. After a heck of a hot tour we rode the BART over to San Fran and rode up Twin peaks with Kelley.
Beginning of the night:

End of the night (they're friends!):

Then Charlie sadly left but not without trying to make the most out of our time. He allowed me precisely 2.5 hours of sleep.
That was one heck of a floating holiday. That was one heck of a Charlesmas. Thank goodness it only comes around once a year.

Thank you!
So last Friday I lost my employee ID + conference calling card + BART EZ rider pass + FORK LIFTING LICENSE!!!! on my ride homes from work. As I arrived at the BART I looked down towards the pantaloons and the recoil string on my plastic unit was fully recoiled...sans my belongings. Bummer. I rode back to work, looked around, and rode back to the BART. Gone. Anyway, I went the weekend thinking someone was joy riding on my BART pass and some other lucky fellow was doing donuts at Del Monte with my license. Fortunately, some young fellow found my belongings and mailed them in to Del Monte and my items were retunred on Monday unscathed. Score. So it's about time I write a thank you note. I just don't know where to begin. I started drafting in my head thinking how meaningful these items are and how sick the world is these days. I was thinking the thank you note should be outlined as such:
Dear xxxxxx,
Thank you for returning my items...
The world is full of crazies...
Site specific horrific examples...
Thank him again for not stealing and site specific horrific things he could have done with my belongings (think fork lifting ability)
Remind him that I can't imagine how people think like this...
Thank him finally for the return of my items and note how I can now rest peacefully in my cave.
